  1. The locust is beautiful - I've never seen one, so I've just been reading about it. Does it grow where you live? Wikipedia says it is native from Pennsylvania to northern Georgia and westward as far as Arkansas and Oklahoma. But that is south of you, isn't it?

    1. Thank you! Yes, it grows here. We are in northern New England. That picture is from one of my trees. We have several. I did a little post about them a couple years ago here: http://lettersfromahillfarm.blogspot.com/2014/06/black-locust-trees.html
      I love these trees!

    2. Thank you Nan, I wish I could have one, but am afraid that our winters are too harsh. Our ground frost goes at least one meter down in the ground. That's probably why I've never seen any locust trees here. I'll ask my friend who is a landscape gardener.

    3. At my house we are zone 3 - which in the US means coldest temps can be -30 to -40, and they grow great here. We have deep frost, too. I'll be interested in what your friend says.

  2. Those eyelashes! Did I ever have ones like that? No, but once upon a time they were dark and thick. I think I used to have poreless skin too. Youth is wonderful, isn't it?
