Today's picture/Week seven CSA flowers - 2017

I thought I'd show you how they look before I put them in a vase. These flowers truly take my breath away. Such color. The essence of summer.

And in the vase which is always on the wood stove, being the only place in the whole house which is safe from Raya the cat who would munch away at them.

As you see, there is plenty of basil for this week's pesto!

    1. I don't have the variety, and most of mine are day lilies which do not make great bouquets so I mostly enjoy my garden from outdoors, which is why I LOVE my flower CSA so much.

  6. Lovely flowers, Nan. I haven't commented in a long time, but your photos, cooking tips, readings, and other adventures are always a treasure. Also enjoyed seeing the Hollyhocks in the header. We have some too - but I've always wondered why our leaves turn brown? Love the tall, wild majestic-like blooms. Thanks for sharing.
